Kenneth Okonkwo is a popular Nigerian actor, lawyer, and politician. He was born on November 6, 1968 in Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria. He started his acting career in 1992 after featuring in the movie "Living in Bondage". Since then, he has featured in numerous Nigerian movies and television series.

Early Life and Education

Kenneth Okonkwo hails from Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State. After completing his primary and secondary education, he gained admission to study at the University of Nigeria Nsukka where he obtained a degree in Business Administration.

He later proceeded to study Law at the University of Lagos where he bagged a Bachelor's Degree in Law. Kenneth went further to obtain a Master of Laws degree from the same university.

Acting Career

Kenneth Okonkwo's acting career kicked off with his role as Andy Okeke - one of the lead characters - in "Living In Bondage" (1992), one of Nigeria's most successful movies ever made. He won several awards for his outstanding performance in this movie.

According to reports, Kenneth has starred or appeared in over 200 films so far some including Ripples, Games Women Play, The Price Of Love: Life Is Beautiful and War Game.

Political Career

In recent years,Kenneth Okonkwo ventured into politics under People's Democratic Party( PDP). In September 2014 Kenneth declared that he wanted to represent Nsukka/Igboeze South Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives.He participated in PDP Primaries but lost out to Patrick Asadu who eventually went ahead to win win the election.Kenneth did not however give up on politics as he maintained close allyship with then governor-elect sullivan Chime.He also attempted running for Governor under the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2019 elections but he was not successful.

Kenneth Okonkwo is married to Ifeoma Okonkwo and the union is blessed with children.
