Anitta is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, and television host. She was born on March 30th, 1993 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her full name is Larissa de Macedo Machado.

Early Life

Anitta grew up in a low-income neighborhood and started singing at a young age. She attended a Catholic school where she learned English and began singing in English as well as Portuguese.


In 2010, Anitta was discovered by music producer Renato Azevedo while performing in Rio de Janeiro. He offered her a record deal with his label Furacão 2000 Records.

Anitta's big break came when she released her debut single "Show das Poderosas" which became one of the most successful songs of the year in Brazil. Her debut album "Anitta" was released shortly after and received critical acclaim.

Since then, Anitta has released several albums and collaborated with many international artists such as J Balvin, Cardi B, Major Lazer, and Black Eyed Peas.

Apart from her music career, Anitta has also hosted television shows in Brazil such as "Música Boa ao Vivo" and "The Voice Mexico".


Anitta has been involved in several controversies throughout her career. In 2013 she was accused of cultural appropriation for wearing blackface during a performance. However, she later apologized for the incident.

She has also been criticized for promoting materialism and hypersexualization of women through her music videos.

Personal Life

Anitta has been very private about her personal life but it is known that she dated Pedro Scooby (ex-husband to Luana Piovani) from May to August 2019.

As well as being an accomplished musician and performer Anitaa is known for breaking barriers as an openly bisexual Brazilian superstar.
