Enrique Iglesias is a Spanish singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. He was born on May 8, 1975 in Madrid, Spain to Julio Iglesias Sr. (a famous singer) and Isabel Preysler. Enrique started his musical career in the mid-1990s and since then he has won numerous awards and accolades.

Early Life

Enrique grew up in Madrid with his siblings Chabeli Iglesias and Julio Iglesias Jr. In 1985, Enrique's parents divorced and he moved with his mother to Miami. There he went to Gulliver Preparatory School and later attended the University of Miami.


Enrique's debut album "Enrique Iglesias" was released in 1995 which became a huge success worldwide selling over six million copies. He released many hit albums like "Escape", "Euphoria" and "Sex and Love". His music style is a blend of Latin pop, dance-pop, R&B and electronic dance music.

Apart from singing, Enrique has also acted in movies like "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" (2003) and TV shows like "How I Met Your Mother" (2007). He also has been a judge on the singing competition show “American Idol” (2014).

Personal Life

Enrique is known for being very private about his personal life but it is widely known that he has been in a long-term relationship with Anna Kournikova since they met on the set of his music video "Escape" in 2001. The couple are now parents to three children: Lucy (born 2017), Nicholas (born 2017), Mary Praise (2020).
