Early Life

Bieber was raised by his single mother, Pattie Mallette. His interest in music began at a young age when he taught himself to play the piano, drums, guitar and trumpet.

Career Beginnings

Bieber’s career started after his mother posted videos of him singing covers of various R&B songs on YouTube. In 2008, Scooter Braun became aware of Bieber's talents and flew him to Atlanta for a meeting with Usher. This led to a recording contract with Island Records.

Rise to Fame

In 2009, Bieber released his debut single "One Time," which peaked at No.17 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His debut album "My World" was released later that year and quickly topped the charts around the world.

Bieber continued releasing hit singles such as "Baby," "Boyfriend" and "Sorry", making him one of the best-selling music artists worldwide. He has won numerous awards throughout his career including a Grammy award.

Throughout his career Bieber has been involved in highly-publicized relationships including Selena Gomez and Hailey Baldwin whom he married in September 2018.
